Anthograin Wheat
The vibrant color of AnthoGrain™ wheat is due to the presence of anthocyanins. Anthocyanins also function as anti-oxidants, which help protect the body from the formation of free radicals. The anthocyanins in AnthoGrain™ wheat are the same as those found in blueberries. In Canada, AnthoGrain™ Wheat originated from a wheat breeding program for the fuel alcohol industry. The purple pigmentation of the kernels was designed to make it visually identifiable from other classes of wheat. AnthoGrain™ Wheat has become a versatile and useful ingredient in the baking and snack food industry.
Black Tortillas
Traditional Mexican corn tortillas with an exotic sesame twist. Black sesame flour is a versatile ingredient, especially in baking and cooking to create gluten-free or low-carb recipes. It is made from ground whole black sesame seed, which have a mildly sweet and nutty flavor. Sesame flour contains protein, healthy fats, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals, especially calcium. Excellent for high protein formulations and supplements, texturizer for meat and applications, water/oil absorption and emulsifying agent. Black tahini was used to improve color and flavor, adding creamy, savory, and nutty sensation into the final product.
